Meet our trusted experts

CowSmart is led by veterinarians and supported by data science. We bring a fresh, practical approach that makes herd data clear and actionable, enhancing farm performance.

Line Ferriman

Veterinarian and Manager for Cowsmart

Line is a veterinarian, dairy farm owner, and manager at CowSmart, combining experience in clinical practice, farm management, and industry leadership. She contributes to the International Dairy Federation’s Standing Committee on Animal Health and Welfare and is a registered VetSalus consultant, part of a global network of veterinarians working together to promote sustainable and evidence-based dairy farming.

At CowSmart, Line leads the development of practical, technology-agnostic tools that turn animal monitoring data into clear, science-based insights. The aim is to support vets in helping farmers make confident, timely decisions that take into account the whole farm system—balancing productivity, efficiency, animal welfare, and sustainability.

Line values the chance to enable skilled vets, farmers, and wider advisory groups to work together, believing the best results come through collaboration—creating healthier cows, stronger businesses, and a future-focused dairy industry.
